I'm a big fan of Japanese music: J-pop, J-Rock, and City Pop primarily. Sangatsu no Phantasia has been a long time favorite of mine since 2016. They make great J-Pop to jam too. Pastel Rain starts off with a lot of energy.

Despite not speaking Japanese, I can recognize a My First Story song on voice alone. Shoutout to Hiroki Moriuchi (cause he'll totally see this). The rest of the band is stellar as well, of course.

PassCode is a Japanese metal idol group who blend J-Pop, J-Rock, and Metal all in one, even incorporating techno frequently. There's a lot of diversity in the music they make, so it's always refreshing to hear new stuff from them.
